Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of that search. When you contact us, we receive the information placed in your message and use it to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and access times. We review combined statistics to maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar tools where applicable.
How the Data Is Used
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. We neither sell lists of visitors nor create individual reader profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Georgia has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute identified in the project research. Other laws may still give some visitors rights to seek access, correction, or deletion of data a website keeps. Because our holdings are limited, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Georgia state, county, or municipal offices remain under the control of those custodians, so correction or redaction requests must go to the responsible agency.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
